Shock, grief and pride on the hardest day

Five young men had died in Iraq. Soldiers from Greater Cincinnati have fallen before in this war - 17 since the invasion in 2003 - but never have so many perished at once. This time, the loss to the community was magnified, and personalized, in a way it had not been since the war began.

My heart if aching for the parents, wives & children & young ladies left behind by all the servicemen & women who have died in thes awful war. While I do not support the president in this war, I do fully support each & every service person over there. They are mostly young men & women with more courage than I have at the present time. I pray for them each & every day of my life. I am so sorry for their loved ones! And sorry that their lives were taken from them far too soon. [img]frown.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/cry.gif[/img]

For those who are interested, there will be a "purple heart ceremony" on fountain square today from noon-1pm to pay tribute to those who serve with honor in the military. [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]

Hopefully it'll be a nice turnout for it (wont be there myself considerring it's allready 25 til noon now and I just found out about it)
